Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has spoken about the AirPods Pro 3. Stating that the wireless earbuds will be released this year, Gurman mentioned they will be equipped with an important feature. So, what will this feature be?
The U.S.-based technology giant Apple has been quiet in the wireless earbuds category for a while. As our readers may remember, we were introduced to the AirPods Pro 2 in 2022, and we haven’t seen high-end wireless earbuds since. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has announced that this silence will be broken in 2025. He also revealed a significant feature of the upcoming wireless earbuds.
According to Mark Gurman’s statement, the AirPods Pro 3 will come with a significant health improvement. Apple’s new wireless earbuds will feature a heart rate measurement sensor. The feature, which will be optional, will activate LED optical sensors when enabled. These sensors will send more than 100 signals per second, thereby measuring the heart rate. The wireless earbuds will work in integration with the Apple Health app.
There will be other improvements as well
As you might guess, the heart rate measurement sensor won’t be the only improvement in the AirPods Pro 3. The company will make improvements to features like sound quality and active noise cancellation. We may also see minor changes in the design of the wireless earbuds. The battery life will also be increased in the new model.
Apple launched the AirPods Pro 2 in September 2022. This being the case, we can say that the most suitable time for the AirPods Pro 3 is September 2025. Indeed, the company will announce its new iPhones next month. We wouldn’t be mistaken to say that the new wireless earbuds will be unveiled at this launch event.
