Samsung’s Own Generative Artificial Intelligence “Gauss” Announced
Samsung has unveiled its own generative AI model, Samsung Gauss, at the Samsung AI Forum 2023 event. Currently, artificial intelligence is only available to Samsung employees.
Recently, many technology giants have been working on making artificial intelligence do something.
Some of these artificial intelligence tools can write, while others can draw and add visual effects. Additionally, almost all companies create their own generative AI models.
Samsung, not wanting to be left behind, has introduced its own generative AI, Samsung Gauss, at the Samsung AI Forum 2023 event.
Named after “The Prince of Mathematicians,” Gauss can do almost anything.

This AI tool’s name comes from the German scientist Carl Friedrich Gauss, who laid the foundation of mathematical statistics, put forward basic theorems on many subjects such as normal distribution, derivative, and integral, and thus laid the foundation for the methods used for AI tools.
While this AI is currently only available to Samsung employees, it will be released to a wider audience in the future.
Samsung Gauss does not have any specific areas of expertise. Instead, it is a basic structure. Samsung Gauss will include models with different capabilities, such as Samsung Gauss Language Model, Samsung Gauss Code, and Samsung Gauss Image.
The language model will be used to answer questions, while Code will help with coding. The image function, on the other hand, can be used to create and edit images from text.

These new AI products are expected to be available to a wider audience with the new flagship series from the South Korean firm, the Galaxy S24. It is planned to have AI applications built into all models.
