NFT, Metaverse, Satellite, Deepfake… Attacks Will İncrease

Speaking at the cyber security meeting held by Bitdefender, Berqnet and Narbulut, Alev Akkoyunlu, Operations Director of Bitdefender’s Turkey distributor Laykon Bilişim, shared his predictions about the cyber attacks that companies will face this year. Akkoyunlu listed the cybersecurity predictions that are likely to come to the fore this year, saying that cybercriminals will create new opportunities for attack in 2022 with the metaverse, NFT, cryptocurrencies, satellites, deepfake and more.

Saying that NFTs are at the center of cyber attackers like everyone else, Alev Akkoyunlu said that Metaverse will turn into a new attack ground for cybercriminals, attacks on objects in space such as satellites will increase, attacks that will disrupt the supply chain will continue to grow, and that deepfake’s phishing attacks will continue to increase. He explained that he will increase his credibility and that cryptocurrencies will be on target again.
