NFT and metaverse-focused trademark application from Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz has announced that it has filed an NFT and metaverse-focused trademark application. The application also covers crypto-asset trading.
This is not the first time Mercedes-Benz has entered the crypto space. Daimler South East Asia, part of the Mercedes-Benz Group, announced in July the data sharing network Acentrik , based on the blockchain technology of the Ethereum Layer-2 scalability platform Polygon . Now Hyundai has stepped into the digital universe after BMW, Renault and Nissan.

NFT and metaverse applications have started to increase quite rapidly recently. According to the latest news; Mercedes-Benz has announced that it has filed an NFT and metaverse -focused trademark application.
As a reminder, in April, Hyundai Motor became the first automaker to release community-based NFTs. In May, McLaren Automotive teamed up with MSO LAB to develop unique, limited-edition McLaren NFTs.
NFT and metaverse licensed trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis shared the application on his official Twitter account. According to Kondoudis, trademark applications for “Mercedes Benz, Mercedes, S-Class, G-Class and Maybach” include NFT and metaverse as well as digital currency, NFTs, retail stores and crypto for virtual vehicle parts. Includes licenses for currency trading.
