The factor that has extended the Tesla Model 3’s range is the use of a new 78.4 kWh capacity Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese (NCM) battery pack. It should be noted that the new battery Tesla is using in the Model 3 is produced by LG Energy. The motor performance of the new Tesla Model 3 sold in China is also slightly better than the standard Model 3. According to the data published by the company, the 0-100 km/h acceleration time of the Tesla Model 3 Long Range is 5.2 seconds. The 0-100 km/h acceleration time of the standard Model 3 is 6.1 seconds. The amount Chinese consumers need to pay to own this car has been announced as $37,540.
