New Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses to be introduced at the Meta Connect event have been leaked. The device will now have screens that will be very useful for the user.
Meta will hold its highly anticipated annual “Connect” event tomorrow. At this event, we will see new product and AI announcements. Of course, the company’s smart glasses will be among them. One day before the event, information about Meta’s new glasses has emerged.
A now-deleted image and video, likely shared by mistake, gave us our first look at the new Meta Ray-Ban glasses. These glasses will come with many innovations compared to the previous model.
Meta Ray-Ban glasses with a screen are coming
Until now, Meta Ray-Ban glasses only had features like video recording. However, this is about to change. According to the leak, we will now see a screen on the glasses. The new glasses, which the company will call “Meta Ray-Ban Display,” will come with many features such as viewing notifications, using navigation, asking questions to Meta AI, translating signs in a foreign language, and messaging. The screen will be placed on the right lens.
Additionally, a wristband will also come with the glasses. This wristband will help the user control the glasses. For example, you will be able to reply to messages via the wristband. This will allow you to get things done using only the glasses without using your phone. This information means that the Meta Ray-Ban will transform into a complete smart goggle this year, which has been desired for many years. It has been stated that the glasses will weigh 70 grams, 20 grams heavier than the regular Meta Ray-Bans. The price is expected to be around $800.
In addition, the leak mentions that a brand new, separate pair of glasses called Sphaera will also be included. These glasses, developed in partnership with Oakley, will have a camera on the nose bridge. We will learn the details tomorrow.
