Microsoft Adapts Services for Metaverse

Microsoft, a leading software and computing giant, is actively working to integrate some of its software services with the Metaverse.

Ihsan Anabtawi, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Microsoft UAE, is spearheading efforts to align the company’s cloud division with Metaverse experiences.

Additionally, ongoing developments are being pursued to enable companies to utilize the data acquired for creating their own specialized applications. These initiatives represent Microsoft’s strategic move towards incorporating the Metaverse into its suite of services and products.

Microsoft Prepares for the Future of Metaverse!

Microsoft, recognized as one of the world’s leading software companies, is poised to shape the future for various institutions and views the Metaverse as an integral part of the digital future for consumers. In line with this vision, Ihsan Anabtawi, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Microsoft UAE, has shared insights into the company’s strategies and perspectives on the Metaverse.

Anabtawi believes that the prominence of the Metaverse will continue to grow. He perceives this ‘evolving medium’ as a natural progression that complements the current state of the Internet. Anabtawi explains, “It would be prudent to regard the Metaverse as the next phase in the Internet’s evolution, which began as an internet of data in the 1990s and 2000s, transformed into an internet of people in the 2010s, and is now evolving into the internet of things.” This perspective underscores Microsoft’s commitment to adapting and integrating with the evolving digital landscape.

Company Interested in Metaverse Exclusive Developments!

Microsoft is dedicated to enabling both consumers and companies to create sophisticated applications, and to this end, is actively working on integrating its cloud services and other components with various Metaverse experiences.

The company’s goal is to provide the necessary tools for making this vision a long-term reality and to draw more users into the Metaverse through proactive investments. Ihsan Anabtawi has emphasized that this initiative is more than just a passing trend for Microsoft.

A key aspect of Microsoft’s commitment to the Metaverse is enabling companies to produce holographic prototypes instead of physical ones. This can be exemplified by the use of the Hololens 2 headset, which facilitates advanced calculations for product design before the item enters mass production. In this context, Microsoft’s cloud division is set to supply the essential analytics, data, and artificial intelligence required for such tasks.

On the consumer front, Microsoft remains equally active. In November, the company launched Mesh for its Teams app, a Metaverse feature that allows the use of digital avatars in calls.

Furthermore, Microsoft is contributing to the creation of Metaverse standards as part of the Metaverse Standard Forum, which was initiated in June. The company is intent on playing a significant role in shaping the future by focusing on Metaverse developments. The advancements Microsoft is making now could potentially become ubiquitous tools used by everyone in the future.
