Metaverse Coin Attracts Mega Whales: Exclusive Insights

In recent weeks, cryptocurrency whales have adjusted their portfolios as the market trends sideways. Recent data indicates that these whales are congregating around a well-known metaverse coin project.

Whales are after metaverse coin projects again

Data from the whale monitoring bot WhaleStats shows that in the past 24 hours, Decentraland (MANA) has emerged as the most purchased token among the top 500 largest Ethereum (ETH) whales. This information was sourced from WhaleStats’ official Twitter account.

However, a closer examination of the top 100 ETH whales’ wallets reveals a different trend: MANA does not appear in the top ten most acquired cryptocurrencies. The primary holdings of these whales are USDT and USDC, comprising 30.97% and 26.28% of their assets, respectively. In comparison, MANA represents just 0.66% of the total assets of the top 100 ETH whales, amounting to 37,412,063 MANA, valued at approximately $14.2 million.

The recent spike in interest from whales is attributed to the launch of a new rental feature for LAND owners in Decentraland. This feature enables users to rent out their land and properties, providing a source of passive income. Landowners have the flexibility to set their prices, rental durations, and expiration dates. According to the announcement, all transactions will be conducted using Decentraland’s native token, MANA.

This altcoin has reached its highest supply level since 2017

Blockchain analytics firm Santiment tweeted this morning, revealing that mega whale addresses for Litecoin (LTC) now hold “the highest level of supply seen since June 2017.” According to the tweet, wallets containing 1 million or more LTC have amassed an additional 2.95 million LTC in the past five weeks. With the current market prices, this accumulation is valued at approximately $219.6 million.
