Meta will launch AI assistants soon
Meta is gearing up to unveil artificial intelligence “personas” for its portfolio of platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, in the upcoming weeks.
As reported by the Financial Times, an integration of AI chat assistants into Meta-owned platforms is on the horizon. This feature promises to elevate user experience by offering a chance to converse with diverse AI personas when seeking advice or recommendations. Imagine tapping into this AI for travel suggestions!
Notably, Meta has recently rolled out Llama 2, its newest language model. This offering stands as an open-source contender against closed-source giants like OpenAI’s GPT-4 and Google’s PaLM 2.

The integration of the “personas” tool, driven by Meta’s generative AI, is anticipated to amplify user engagement across its platforms. This move might position Meta alongside big players like OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft in the competitive landscape of advanced AI.
Mark Zuckerberg mentioned that a collaborative effort spanning multiple teams is underway, aiming to foster text-based interactivity on Messenger and WhatsApp, while paving the way for visual experiences on Instagram.
Highlighting their commitment to diversity, it’s underscored that these AI assistants are equipped with 30 distinct personalities, designed to cater to a myriad of user needs.
