NFTs are starting to become permanent!
Meta announced that it is examining plans to allow users to create, display and sell NFTs on Facebook and Instagram. . If the company launches such tools, it will be the biggest major show of support for NFTs to date and help solidify NFTs’ place in the digital world.

NFTs can be made as profile pictures.
This decision, announced by Instagram, is “at an early stage and may yet change.” According to the report, teams at Facebook and Instagram are preparing a new feature that will allow users to display NFTs as profile pictures. It is also rumored that a prototype is being worked on that will allow users to print the new NFTs. Others on Meta have also reportedly discussed ‘starting a marketplace for users to buy and sell NFTs’.
Mosseri had already announced his interest in NFTs.
It’s impossible to say exactly how far these plans have gone, but the Meta leaders’ interest in NFTs is not new news. Adam Mosseri, a former Facebook executive and current head of Instagram, announced last December that the company is “actively investigating NFTs and considering how to make them more accessible to a wider audience.”
