LinkedIn’s Artificial Intelligence Tool Will Write Resumes for Users

LinkedIn, a leading platform for professionals, has been actively developing artificial intelligence (AI) tools. The platform is now introducing new AI-powered features for its premium users who have indicated their status as #OpentoWork. These features include AI-generated cover letters, personalized resumes, and chat-based job searches.

With these innovations, LinkedIn aims to simplify the often tedious aspects of job hunting, such as crafting cover letters, writing resumes, and tailoring them to specific positions. The new system will also enable users to search for jobs through chat commands. For instance, users can request, “Find me remote jobs with a monthly salary of 200,000 liras,” and the AI will present suitable options.

These advancements mark a significant step in LinkedIn’s ongoing integration of AI to enhance the user experience and streamline the job search process.

The first preview has been released

A preview of LinkedIn’s new tools has also been shared. The cover letter generator tool gathers information from the user’s profile and creates a tailored text based on this data. Notably, it claims to produce more organic writing compared to other models. This is especially significant as many companies utilize AI software to screen applications, making this tool potentially a more valuable option.

LinkedIn’s tools are still in their early stages, and the final versions are yet to be released. In the future, these tools may further automate job application processes. “The next horizon will be ‘Can You Do This for Me,'” says Rohan Rajiv, a LinkedIn product manager. “You can imagine people thinking about it from an agency’s perspective and helping to get things done.”

This indicates that LinkedIn envisions a future where AI tools can take on even more tasks in the job search process, acting as an “agency” for users and actively assisting them in achieving their career goals.
