The Leapmotor B01, a fully electric sedan, has been officially launched in China. The model is offered with three different range options based on the CLTC standard: 430 km, 550 km, and 650 km.
The entry-level 430 Comfort Edition is priced at approximately $12,500, while the 550 Comfort Edition costs $13,400, and the longer-range 650 Enjoy Edition is priced at $15,300.
The Leapmotor B01 is built on the company’s LEAP 3.5 modular architecture. It features an aerodynamic design, with a low drag coefficient of 0.197 Cd. The car measures 4770 mm in length, 1880 mm in width, 1490 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2735 mm.
All versions of the model come with a single-motor rear-wheel-drive system. The entry-level 430 Comfort Edition is powered by an electric motor producing 100 kW (134 hp) and 175 Nm of torque, paired with a 43.9 kWh LFP battery. This version has a top speed of 150 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.4 seconds. The versions with a 550 km range are available with electric motors producing either 132 kW (177 hp) or 160 kW (215 hp) and a 56.2 kWh battery. The fastest version completes the 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.4 seconds. The longest-range 650 Enjoy Edition is equipped with a motor producing 160 kW and 240 Nm of torque. This model, with its 67.1 kWh battery, has a maximum speed of 160 km/h.
The car’s interior is available in two color themes: grey and purple. Inside, you’ll find a flat-bottom steering wheel, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 14.6-inch central touchscreen with a 2.5K resolution. The operating system is Leapmotor OS 4.0 Plus, powered by a Qualcomm 8155P or 8295P processor. The Leapmotor B01 also includes a voice assistant feature, thanks to DeepSeek’s AI model.
The model boasts a spacious interior and a 460-liter trunk capacity. The advanced driver assistance system, Leapmotor Pilot, is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8650 processor. Standard equipment includes five cameras and 12 ultrasonic radars, while higher trims increase this to 10 cameras, three millimeter-wave radars, and a Lidar sensor.
The Lidar sensor on the Leapmotor B01 has a detection range of up to 300 meters and a 140-degree field of view. The system offers a total of 26 different advanced driver assistance functions, enabling features like city and highway autopilots and automatic parking assistance.
Stellantis is responsible for the international sales of Leapmotor models. The C03 and C10 models are already sold in Europe, and the B10 model will be added to the European lineup by the end of the year. The B01 electric sedan is also likely to be made available for sale in the future.
