iPhone 16 Unveiled: Release Date & AI-Compatible Chip
Apple has introduced the highly anticipated iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models. So, what do these models offer? Here are the answers to these questions.
The Cupertino-based company has made minor design changes to the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models, differentiating them slightly from the Pro models.
One notable change is the camera design. The camera island on the back of the iPhone 16 models has been modified compared to previous versions. On both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, the cameras are now arranged vertically instead of diagonally. This stylized camera setup was last seen in the iPhone 14 series, and if we go back even further, a similar vertical module was used in the iPhone XS models.
When we look at the dimensions, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models don’t show any significant innovation compared to their predecessors. In fact, the dimensions are the same as those of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models released last year.
On the hardware side, such as the screen and battery capacities, there are minor improvements, but they aren’t particularly noteworthy.
However, there are two key features that set the iPhone 16 apart from its predecessor. One is the newly added buttons, and the other is the AI-powered chip, which is a major advancement.
iPhone 16 and 16 Plus powered by AI-powered A18 Taking
As is well known, in previous years, Apple included the chips used in its Pro models in the standard models. However, this year, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are equipped with the A18 chip, while the Pro models come with the A18 Pro chip.
The most important feature of this chip is Apple’s new artificial intelligence experience. Apple’s AI app on both iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 It works stably on the Plus model.
Another noteworthy feature of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus is the new action and photography buttons. The action button, which was introduced on last year’s iPhone 15 Pro models, is now available on the iPhone 16 models as well. Additionally, Apple has introduced a new feature called the Capture Button, which simplifies swipe functions for photography.
On the camera side, the iPhone 16 now replaces the 12MP main camera with a 48MP camera. A wide-angle camera has also been added to enable macro photography.
Undoubtedly, the most distinctive feature of the iPhone 16 will be its artificial intelligence support. The phone is expected to be available for sale worldwide, including in our country, on September 20.
