Traditionally, the robots we’ve encountered have had hard exteriors and were as heavy as possible. However, the NEO Beta weighs only 25 kg. This is largely due to the use of soft and lightweight materials for its outer coating. Company representatives have stated that this design choice was made to ensure user safety.

The robot is set to be piloted in select homes starting next month. Following this trial and testing phase, any deficiencies will be addressed, and the robot will be made ready for sale.

1X Technologies has not yet announced the price of the robot, but it’s safe to assume that a robot of this caliber won’t come cheap.
