HTC and Etisalat Collaborate on Metaverse

The concept of the Metaverse is indeed complex, and many potential consumers may not fully grasp its intricacies at this moment. Nevertheless, this lack of understanding hasn’t deterred investors from exploring and investing in this emerging technology.

The world has continually witnessed the achievement of seemingly impossible feats. Just two decades ago, the idea of a touchscreen phone was met with skepticism, yet today we have not only touchscreen phones but also foldable and notchless smartphones.

This is precisely why manufacturers and tech companies are not underestimating the potential of the Metaverse. They recognize its significance and are willing to invest in it despite the uncertainty surrounding its future.

HTC’s VIVERSE team, responsible for the Metaverse Ecosystem, recently announced a collaboration with Etisalat. Both companies intend to leverage their respective technologies to jointly expand business opportunities within the Metaverse, acknowledging its potential impact on the future of technology and connectivity.

After the signing ceremony, content aimed at addressing potential users’ uncertainties was shared. The first segment transported the audience to a futuristic and ultra-modern Meta venue.

Attendees at the event site, as well as online viewers unable to attend in person, were able to access this content through various devices, including smartphones, tablets, PCs, and VR devices. Users simply needed to enter the virtual fairground to engage and explore.

The second segment showcased a stylish personal space within the virtual realm. Users had the freedom to personalize their spaces by creating their own designs or incorporating collected artworks. The companies also highlighted that users could gather with others to watch sporting events, movies, and host various social gatherings. When viewed from a broader perspective, these events paint an intriguing picture of the future.

Lin Junwu, the General Manager of VIVERSE, holds high expectations for this collaboration.
