Google’s AI assistant Gemini can now control YouTube Music. Google has widely rolled out the YouTube Music extension for Gemini, making it much easier to listen to music, find songs, and check your playlists. Here are the details…
Google Gemini will control YouTube Music with artificial intelligence
It used to be that one of the biggest advantages of Google Assistant was that it could control music. But now Gemini is stepping in in this area as well. All you need to do is go to gemini.google.com/extensions and activate the extension. Once you’ve completed this step on your PC or Android phone, you can take full advantage of Gemini’s capabilities.
With just a command to Gemini, you can find and play any song you want. For example, if you say “Find the song Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen,” Gemini will immediately find and play the song for you. Playback controls are also at your fingertips. You can stop, restart, skip, or return to the previous song.
If you have a YouTube Music Premium membership, you can also take advantage of the ability to play music in the background on Android devices. This allows you to keep your music going without interruption and without ads.
For PC users, this extension may not be fully functional yet. For now, it will provide you with a link to listen to the song on YouTube Music, although it can’t play the song directly. However, this small issue is expected to be resolved soon.
In summary, Gemini and the YouTube Music extension will enhance your music experience significantly. After all, it’s called an ‘artificial intelligence assistant’ for a reason. How do you like this new feature? You can share your opinions in the comments section below.
