Google Cloud collaborates with MultiversX as the blockchain company zeroes in on metaverse advancements
MultiversX has unveiled a series of innovative features for xPortal, geared towards pioneering metaverse capabilities.
In a strategic move to amplify its Web3 footprint, Google Cloud has forged an alliance with blockchain infrastructure powerhouse MultiversX, previously known as Elrond. This collaboration integrates Google Cloud’s BigQuery data warehouse with MultiversX, enabling Web3 initiatives and their users to harness significant insights courtesy of the robust data analytics and AI capabilities present in the Google Cloud platform.
MultiversX believes that this synergy can expedite the deployment of expansive, data-centric blockchain endeavors. Such a partnership would pave the way for developers to seamlessly retrieve information on addresses, transaction volumes, smart contract engagements, and enhanced on-chain analytical metrics, according to the firm.
By integrating with the MultiversX network, Google Cloud aims to empower ecosystem creators with the sophisticated tools and services within its platform. This integration is poised to provide enhanced performance and scalability to the non-blockchain elements of decentralized applications. Commenting on the partnership, Daniel Rood, who leads Web3 EMEA operations at Google Cloud, remarked: [The statement from Daniel Rood would follow here.]
“There’s immense potential for Web3 developers to accelerate their growth and expansion. As we delve into fresh domains within this realm, our collaboration with MultiversX bolsters our ambition to broaden our strategic horizons and fortify our role as a pivotal catalyst for innovation in the blockchain universe.”
MultiversX has a history of collaborating with well-known brands to champion Web3 applications in conventional settings. Notably, the first European institutional digital asset marketplace, ICI D|Services, and Audi’s in-car virtual reality initiative, Holoride, have both selected MultiversX as their preferred platform.
Further expanding its suite of offerings, MultiversX recently unveiled enhanced scalable features for its decentralized digital asset wallet and “SuperApp,” xPortal. These advancements aim to simplify monetary transactions in both traditional and digital currencies. By early 2024, xPortal users are expected to benefit from peer-to-peer fiat transactions, European IBANs, SEPA transfers, and SWIFT payment capabilities.
In addition, MultiversX introduced the xWorlds Developer Kit. This comprehensive toolkit equips developers with specialized resources to craft the upcoming wave of augmented reality experiences. By utilizing xPortal as both a wallet and distribution center, creators can elevate their projects. A standout feature of this kit is the inclusion of AI-driven 3D avatars that boast impressive realism.
