Google Cloud and MultiversX Partner for Metaverse Advancements

MultiversX, previously known as Elrond, has introduced a range of new features for xPortal, aimed at advancing metaverse technology.

In an effort to expand its presence in the Web3 space, Google Cloud has entered into a partnership with the blockchain infrastructure giant, MultiversX. This collaboration involves integrating Google Cloud’s BigQuery data warehouse with MultiversX, which will allow Web3 projects and their users to leverage the extensive data analytics and AI capabilities available on the Google Cloud platform.

MultiversX is optimistic that this partnership will accelerate the launch of large-scale, data-driven blockchain projects. The collaboration is expected to enable developers to easily access data on addresses, transaction volumes, smart contract activities, and improve on-chain analytical tools, as highlighted by the company.

Google Cloud’s integration with the MultiversX network is designed to provide ecosystem developers with advanced tools and services, enhancing the performance and scalability of the non-blockchain components of decentralized applications.

Daniel Rood, who is in charge of Web3 EMEA operations at Google Cloud, has made a statement regarding the partnership, underscoring the potential benefits and impact of this integration on the Web3 ecosystem.

Daniel Rood, leading Web3 EMEA operations at Google Cloud, expressed optimism about the partnership with MultiversX, stating, “There’s immense potential for Web3 developers to accelerate their growth and expansion.

As we delve into new areas within this domain, our collaboration with MultiversX reinforces our commitment to expanding our strategic horizons and strengthening our position as a key driver of innovation in the blockchain space.”

MultiversX has established itself as a leader in promoting Web3 applications in traditional settings through collaborations with prominent brands. Notably, it has been chosen as the preferred platform for the first European institutional digital asset marketplace, ICI D|Services, and Audi’s in-car virtual reality project, Holoride.

In its ongoing effort to enhance its services, MultiversX recently introduced new scalable features for its decentralized digital asset wallet and “SuperApp,” xPortal. These features are designed to facilitate transactions in both traditional and digital currencies, with xPortal users expected to gain access to peer-to-peer fiat transactions, European IBANs, SEPA transfers, and SWIFT payment options by early 2024.

Moreover, MultiversX launched the xWorlds Developer Kit, providing developers with the tools needed to create the next generation of augmented reality experiences.

Utilizing xPortal as both a wallet and distribution platform allows creators to advance their projects significantly. A notable aspect of this toolkit is the integration of AI-powered 3D avatars, which offer remarkable levels of realism.
