Franklin Templeton Establishes Metaverse Fund for European Investors

Global investment giant Franklin Templeton is launching a new metaverse exchange-traded fund (ETF) for European investors.

Dubbed the Franklin Metaverse UCITS ETF , the fund will reflect the performance of the Solactive Global Metaverse Innovation Net Total Return Index.

This index includes companies that have invested in or are affiliated with the metaverse, blockchain apps, companies like Block, crypto investors like Galaxy Digital .

Franklin Templeton entered the blockchain world last year by establishing a venture fund and then another blockchain-based fund. As of the end of July, the company has a total of $1.4 trillion in assets under management .

Dina Ting, director of Franklin Templeton’s global index portfolio, said that metaverse and blockchain technologies “can have huge impacts on diverse societies and global economic growth . “
