Enhancing AI on Mobile: Gemini Live’s Revolutionary Upgrades

Google introduced exciting features for its next-generation artificial intelligence model, Gemini Live, on the mobile platform at the Google I/O 2024 event held last May. New leaks suggest that Google may be working on features that could put it 3-4 steps ahead of its rival, Apple Intelligence. Here are the new details about those features…

Gemini Live could set up camp on smartphones with artificial intelligence

Since its initial announcement, there hasn’t been much news from Google about Gemini Live. However, references to Gemini Live’s next-generation features were discovered in the code of one of Google’s newly released applications.

The lines of code discovered in Gemini Live point to two important features: speed and seamless background operation.

You will be able to continue chatting with Gemini by voice while using other applications. For example, while searching for something in Chrome, you can ask it a question and receive voice answers without occupying the screen. This will provide a natural experience, similar to making a voice call with someone in the background while you are busy with your smartphone.

Another interesting feature found in the code is the ability to communicate with Google Gemini Live even when your phone’s screen is locked. This will allow you to access Google applications such as Google Maps, Google Flights, Google Hotels, and YouTube. For example, even if your phone is far away, you can ask Gemini Live to play a song from YouTube for you.
