Earn Money with Google’s AI News-Writing Service

Google is reportedly compensating news websites that utilize artificial intelligence services for article creation. The tech giant has initiated an experimental program permitting independent publishers to try a beta version of its AI technology, designed for news article production.

Last year, Google began testing Genesis, an artificial intelligence tool aimed at assisting journalists in writing news articles. Recent reports have unveiled that Google is financially supporting publishers to experiment with this innovative tool.

This pilot project for Google’s AI initiative is currently limited in scale and requires consistent usage. As a condition of the agreement, Google expects publishers to employ the tool extensively, producing three articles daily, issuing a weekly newsletter, and launching a monthly marketing campaign.

Google’s platform aggregates content from various websites into a single dashboard. New posts appearing on the dashboard are then reviewed by a human editor, who utilizes AI tools to transform them into news articles. This process culminates with the editor refining the article before its publication.

To ensure compliance with the agreement, participating news outlets are obliged to publish these AI-generated articles over a 12-month period and to provide Google with analytics and feedback on their usage.

Sites from which content is received are not notified

It’s also important to mention that websites utilizing this tool are not required to label these articles as AI-generated. Moreover, the sources from which the content is derived are not notified that Google is employing their material to craft stories and articles based on AI.
