According to the FAQ section of Tesla’s official website, Dogecoin is now listed as an accepted payment method for certain Tesla products.
This follows previous hints by Elon Musk that Dogecoin could potentially be accepted as a payment method for Tesla vehicles.
Dogecoin is Among the Payment Options on the Tesla Website
For purchases made with Dogecoin, customers should look for the Dogecoin symbol on the checkout page. Tesla only accepts payments through Dogecoin wallets, and transactions such as payments from multiple wallets, cancellations, and returns are not available for products purchased with this payment method.
According to Tesla, the prices of eligible products will be clearly listed in Dogecoin, inclusive of all applicable taxes.
In March, Elon Musk introduced Dogecoin at an event near Berlin, Germany, suggesting that Tesla could start accepting the cryptocurrency for vehicle sales in the future. Musk remarked that Tesla “needs to enable it at some point.”
Following this announcement, Dogecoin’s price has risen by over 20% in the past 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.16. Trading volume has surged by over 90% in the same period, signaling significant interest in this topic among investors.
