DeepL Introduces AI Agent “DeepL Agent”: So What Can It Do?

DeepL, one of the world’s most widely used translation tools, has officially introduced its new AI-powered feature, the DeepL Agent. The Germany-based AI translation startup, DeepL, has taken the stage with a new product that extends beyond translation services to touch on various areas of the business world.

The company announced its first AI agent, named “DeepL Agent”, aiming to take on the daily, time-consuming, and repetitive tasks of professionals in sectors such as sales, finance, marketing, and human resources.


What Does the DeepL Agent Do?

DeepL states that this multilingual and general-purpose agent will be a significant support tool in the corporate world. The agent’s features include providing data analysis for sales teams, automating invoice processing for finance departments, and managing document translation and approval workflows for localization teams.


Half of Fortune 500 Companies Are DeepL Clients

Jarek Kutylowski, DeepL‘s founder and CEO, says that their strong research background gives them an advantage in developing tools that can understand, infer, and act on a wide range of tasks. The company notes that today it works with half of the Fortune 500 companies, as well as institutions like KBC Bank and the law firm Taylor Wessing.

The Cologne-based startup, which reached a valuation of $2 billion in 2024, aims to compete with larger global AI players, moving beyond rivals like Google Translate. The DeepL Agent is currently in the beta testing phase, and details regarding its pricing have not yet been shared.
