Apple Watch Ultra 3 Leaked: Coming with a Bigger Display

According to recent news, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will come with a larger display. Along with the screen size increasing to 1.98 inches, features like satellite messaging support and blood pressure measurement may also be included.

Apple might be quietly preparing a major update for the Apple Watch Ultra 3. The new model, expected to be introduced in September, may not bring a radical design change from the previous version, but it will offer significant innovations in terms of screen size and technical capabilities.

The Watch Ultra 3’s Display Is Getting Bigger

A reference found in the developer beta of iOS 26 points to a screen with a resolution of 422 x 514 pixels (335 ppi). This resolution doesn’t match any current Apple Watch model. Considering that the current Apple Watch Ultra 2 has a resolution of 410 x 502 pixels (335 ppi), it’s estimated that Apple will transition from a 1.93-inch display to a new 1.98-inch size.

This 3% increase in screen size is expected to be achieved by directly thinning the bezels without increasing the device’s case size. This way, users will get the feel of a larger screen while the watch’s existing dimensions are preserved.

Hardware Innovations

It’s also suggested that the new Apple Watch Ultra 3 will come with significant hardware innovations. One of the most notable features is the ability to offer satellite messaging support without a cellular or Wi-Fi connection. This will allow users to communicate even in areas with no coverage. Additionally, LTPO3 display technology, which offers a wider viewing angle and energy efficiency, may also be included in the new model. Other expected features include 5G RedCap support, blood pressure measurement, and the use of next-generation S10 or S11 series chips.
