Apple Initiates Development of AR-Based Metaverse

Apple is set to make significant strides in the metaverse, a concept recently brought into the limelight by Facebook CEO Zuckerberg’s announcement.

Regarding other brands’ positions on the metaverse, there have been varied responses. Some have expressed eagerness to participate, while others remain skeptical.

Apple’s stance on this matter is particularly noteworthy. Known for its extensive work in virtual reality, the Cupertino-based company has been developing its own smart glasses for years, although no substantial product has materialized yet.

Apple acknowledges the pivotal role of virtual reality in shaping the future. Tim Cook, in a previous statement, emphasized that virtual reality will become an integral part of our lives in the future.

However, it’s highly unlikely that Apple will join the universe created by Facebook. It is more probable that Apple will craft its own metaverse.

There might already be preliminary work underway in this direction. The exact nature of Apple’s plans remains speculative, as the company is known for its confidentiality. Time will reveal Apple’s foray into this emerging digital landscape.
