Amazon has introduced more AI-supported technologies, with one of the key highlights being the Titan Image Generator, revealed during the second session of the AWS re:Invent event.
This artificial intelligence model is designed to generate images from text descriptions.
Further details about the Titan Image Generator have now been unveiled. Amazon’s new AI model is equipped with a unique watermarking system, featuring watermarks that are invisible to the naked eye.
This system includes a special API, which allows for the verification of whether an image was generated by AI. Furthermore, the watermarking capability of this system extends beyond the image’s metadata, meaning that even if the image’s codes are altered, the API can still detect the watermark.
This innovation positions Amazon’s Titan Image Generator as a sophisticated tool in the realm of AI-generated imagery.
Titan Image Generator will be able to create studio-quality images
Amazon’s Titan Image Generator stands out in the realm of AI tools capable of generating images from text.
According to the company, this new model is unique in its ability to produce studio-quality visuals. However, it’s important to note that the Titan Image Generator is not directly intended for end users.
Instead, developers will need to create tools based on the Titan Image Generator to make it accessible to the general public.
Additionally, Amazon has elaborated on the rationale behind implementing a custom watermark system for the Titan Image Generator. Some readers may recall that a few months ago, the U.S.
government announced its engagement in artificial intelligence projects. As part of these initiatives, Microsoft, along with companies like Amazon, Meta, and OpenAI, agreed to collaborate on secure artificial intelligence.
Amazon executive Vasi Philomin mentioned that the development of the Titan Image Generator and its watermark system was part of this agreement with the Biden administration.
