Google has announced a new feature coming to YouTube. According to the official statement, Google’s text-to-AI video generation model, Veo 3, will soon be integrated into YouTube Shorts.

Made at an event celebrating the platform’s 20th anniversary, the announcement reveals that YouTube’s Shorts section will soon be overflowing with AI-generated videos.
Readers may recall that about a month ago, Google announced its text-to-video AI model, Veo 3. This model particularly stood out for its realism. Google’s recent statement now reveals that Veo 3 will soon be integrated into Shorts. Content creators, who can currently use Veo 2 for YouTube, will transition to Veo 3 later in the year.
What Will Change with Veo 3’s Integration into YouTube?
Content creators can already perform operations like background and clip creation with Veo 2, which is already integrated into YouTube. However, Google has not fully detailed what will change in YouTube Shorts with Veo 3. Despite this, we already know about Veo 3‘s enhanced video quality and audio addition capabilities.
